​Prior to Scigilian Software, Jean managed highly skilled teams of computer scientists for twenty years at Merck Frosst Canada. He spent the last six years at Merck Frosst as an Associate Director, where during those years had responsibilities as Global In vitro Sciences IT Account Manager, Global External Basic Research IT Account Manager, Montreal Research IT Site Account Manager, and led the New Technology Research Licensing Committee for IT ventures.

From 2007 to 2009, he was a member of Merck’s effort to redesign its basic research global operating strategy, and played a lead role during the current state assessment activities, mapping out the drug discovery processes from Target ID Validation to Lead Optimization. He was also a core member of the task force reviewing the operations for Research Informatics, IT, & Automation. In 2010, was a member of the Merck/Schering-Plough Merger task force rationalizing the set of In vitro IT systems.

Jerry Ferentinos, CTO, has been delivering valuable and effective IT solutions to pharmaceutical R&D challenges for over 25 years. In his previous role, as a Manager in Research IT for Merck & Co., his accomplishments include the development of the global data analysis system used by Discovery (Basic Research) scientists and their external partners to analyze all biological assay results. This system helped reduce the time from result generation to publication from days to seconds, required no user manipulation of the raw data-files, and was able to analyze upwards of 20,000 titration curves at once. Jerry’s other responsibilities while at Merck included the development of biological assay results browsing systems, and robotics and automation control systems for compound management and plate preparation.

At Scigilian, he is responsible for overseeing product development, with roles in business strategy and operations. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.

Quay Vong, COO, is an accomplished software developer and project leader delivering solutions producing large-scale cost savings through the introduction of more efficient systems and processes. Previously with Merck & Co. where for 14 years he served as a Software Project Leader, Lead Business Analyst, and Project Manager.

With a solid and proven track record producing results, he has a keen interest in agile methodologies, process improvement, and strategic business planning. He is responsible for Scigilian’s day-to-day-operations, as well as being part of the company’s product development and business strategy development.

​Quay holds a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Computer Sciences from l’Université de Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada.
